Finally finished this quilt for a coworker's baby a couple months late ! Glad I didn't tell her I was making it...at least she wasn't wondering why I hadn't finished it.

I have so much sewing to do I know I won't get it all done. This past week-end we had so much Christmas stuff going on we weren't hardly home and if we were we had family over. BUT this coming week I am hoping to live in my sewing room!

I'm very busy trying to get my Christmas baking in. No time to quilt yet.

I sew every evening and weekends. I was sandwiching a quilt and started quilting it last night. I hope to get most of it done this coming week. Then I will start another.

I am still moving things from my old "little" sewing room into the bigger back bedroom. I haven't been able to sew for a couple of months, however my Grand daughter has been able to do some STID on a quilt she made for her big sister while I am slowly moving things into this room. I have finished 2 of 6 quilts for my kids. But have to wait my turn for my Janome 6600 until Grand daughter finishes her sisters quilt. We have 6 kids between us and as of right now 9 Grandkids so the kids all know we can't afford gifts for them but we give each Grandchild $50 for Christmas to spend as they please. And soon we will have our 10th Grand daughter!! Our middle daughter & her husband filed their adoption papers for a baby girl!! They are Missionaries in Bulgaria & were told within 3 to 6 months they should have a baby girl. We are all beside ourselves to welcome this precious little girl into our lives. I could go on & on but will close this off with...DH & I will be going to St. Charles LA to hit the Casinos for 3 days for our Christmas break since all of our children are moved off & away but for the 20yr old son. He hill take care of our furbabies.
merry christmas to everyone I hope it is a memorable one for each of you!

This week my two sisters are visiting and we are making tamales and cookies for Dec. 24th family gathering. One goes home tonight and the other on Thursday. I might have time on Friday to pin a small quilt on my LA

I am sewing also! Finishing up an insulbrite table runner for my good neighbors. Apparently on the last holiday, someone put a hot pot on her hardwood table. It damaged the finish. I told her Merry Christmas and gave her a topper on steroids.

Odd, none of the pictures in the post are showing for me. I am keeping my four month old nephew this weekend. No quilting for me and probably little sleep.

I have made two fleece quilts for two grandchildren, I just put right sides together and left an opening to turn and then top stitched. It seemed the easiest and less bother. One was frozen fabric and the other was cars. I am waiting to get toy story fleece to do another one for another grandson. We have 7 children and 9 soon to be 10 grandchildren. I'm also crocheting dish cloths for my children. May this season bring Christmas cheer to everyone!
