Keep practicing. It will get easier! I say that like I'm an expert. I'm not! But every time I do it, I see some improvement. Your quilt is beautiful! I'm sure hubby is very proud of it!

Absolutely second Billi's comments. It really pops with the pattern and colors. Did you use a pattern and what is it called other than apple core?

I have cut the pattern with the sizzix die and sum about 35 units for each large shirt but I only needed 2 whole shirts for the border. Only press the fabric after whasing and deboning the shirts and take care to put the fabric straith over the die!!! You could see the process here if you like!!!

thank you very much. I have cut them with a cutting machine similar to big shot but you can find the pattern in google https://www.google.es/search?q=apple...M&ved=0CCAQsAQ

It is also known as double axe head too.
