"I have in mind a quilt top that one color fades into another color. I saw a quilt like that but don't remember where."

Sunrise450: I'm working on a quilt like that, and posted a picture. I'm not sure if that's the one you're talking about. I sewed all the rows but haven't sewn them together yet. I'm trying to figure out how to make it a rectangle instead of a square. A friend of mine said I could put a row of black between each row of color. I like that idea except that I worked so hard trying to place colors above and below each square that would compliment it, that I'm resistant to putting something in between them now.

Received my candies today! Yay! A wonderful variety, as always. Thanks so much to all who participated, and especially to SheriR for hosting a great swap!

By the way, Sheri, I've been making minis for my sewing room wall, too! Two, so far. I also have one from the mini quilt swap here on the board. The only hitch - I don't actually have a sewing room right now. So they will hang on some wall space in between the living room and kitchen, ready for the day they have their own room.

I really don't remember if this is where I saw it or not. Could you direct me to where the picture is? The black between each row sounds stunning. It sounds like a lot of work but if you have a large piece of black, you could put the black on your design wall and arrange two or three rows with the black in between. On one hand I want to stick with the set up I have in mind but on the other, I think the black would be really stunning.
