What do you expect for $9000?

I had to laugh at the 201-2 posted. In the first place, we all know that while it is vintage, it is NOT antique! Secondly, I am very suspicious any time a machine or a part of a machine is covered in a sales photograph. I would almost bet that the slide plate is missing! And I generally don't gamble!

Picture #5 shows the slide plate. Beautiful photography but crazy pricing.

If this machine had no badging on it, I would have sworn it was a Singer. I'm pretty sure I've had "that" Singer here at one point or another...

Model number 834? That is the same number as the made in Poland knockoff of the Singer Stylist. This review of the "Tailor Professional" is where I got my info but it fits with your memory.

The Singer version is a Stylist. Those must have been foreign market machines or something.

It's so weird to see it on a Pfaff though, and then to fast forward to today and Pfaff and Singer are part of the same company.

Khris-Quilts, You are absolutely right. But that cabinet in its current condition isn't worth a whole lot, or it wouldn't be to me. It, of course, would be to someone who can do woodworking, but I guess I'm just not seeing very well tonight.

I guess I'm feeling a little smug because I lucked into a 201-2 for zero dollars, and 98% of the decals are intact. The shellac is showing some cracking due to age, but it's still there. Hopefully, I can get my back back in working order so I can work on the shellac. My 201 is a beautiful machine! And, mine's not an "air loom" and it's really not old enough to be an heirloom! LOL

This 127 has "a very rare Sphinx decals". Date's wrong too.

I LOVE this cabinet especially that top "drawer". Machine's too pricy though for me to get it for the cabinet.
