Can this be saved?

Hi,
my my daughter who lives in the US recently discovered a product called kids n pet carpet cleaner.... She said it is amazing (she fosters dogs who have been mis-treated, looks after them until they get better and then finds new homes for them). The dogs often are scared and have accidents because they have been abused so she often has to clean up after accidents. She told me this product gets everything off the carpet, so I just wondered if it would be worth checking it out to see if they make other cleaners.... Might be worth a try.
hugs and hopes for a good clean-up.

No do not use peroxide! It damages the cotton fibers in the quilt. Read Leah Days heartbreaking story about her quilt.

I would suggest Oxyclean powder and Wisk laundry detergent.....make a paste and rub into the stain -- let it sit for at least an hour - then wash. I have removed stains on kids clothes from chocolate to KoolAid that have been through the washer and dryer already. I have cats and I feel your pain and KNOW just how awful this can be.......once while i was layering a quilt, I left the room for a minute and came back to find that our 19 year old cat had urinated in the middle of it.

I so feel your pain. I love my cats, but sometimes I swear they deliberately pick the object to throw up on. Cotton will wash. Paperwork does not survive well. I hope you can save your beautiful project. Maybe the cat liked it and hoped by "claiming" it you would let him have it to sleep on.
