Hi and welcome to the board, love your crazy quilt patch block, and you don't need to excuse the embroidery-it looks great! The block in your original posts looks to me like some of them have raw edges, some not?! Very pretty though, agree with nanna-up-north, unless it were to be a wall hanging, I'd be worried about being able to wash it.

Welcome to the board! It does look like they are stitched on top and some look raw edge.

Welcome from SC Texas. I love your work, I also love to do hand embroidery and have wanted to use it on my quilts. After seeing yours I want to try it. Yours is very beautiful.

Hello bj, Tartan and Mariposa.... (I'm in N.J)
I went to a local bookstore and found a book on quilting/mix textiles. Seems this is exactly what it looks like......no rules...just creativity . The author used a muslin block foundation and glued her pieces on with a glue stick just to set a placement that she liked. Then she darned the edges of the pieces with her machine. So I guess it comes down to what ever looks pleasing to your eye. I'll give this a try. Thank you

Welcome to the board. This looks to me like one of those creative adventures that turned out exceptionally well. Some of mine turn out the opposite. froggyintexas
