Retiredteacher09, enjoy that Accuquilt. How lucky that you were able to get some dies on Craigslist. I never thought to look there! I just got the HST die, for 2.5" finished squares. Can't wait to play with it. On my wishlist is the Winding Ways die, but it's one of their most expensive ones, so....

Glad I noticed this! I'm working on a baby quilt for my next gr gr niece due in august. It is very hot here, so taking a cold water drink break... we've never had the need for air conditioning but I suppose if this is going to be our new "norm" we'll have to put away the fans and invest in a/c Won't take the time for a picture of my project until I get the blocks stitched together. Love everyone's projects so far.

Wow, sorry I missed this, had to work today and then had an appointment after, but I can at least start, cant I? I am making a tea cozy, mug rug and coordinating hand towel for a friend of mine. Ginger K, LOVE both of your photos, what is the pattern if any on the 2nd one?
Can I be added to a reminder list for these virtual sew ins if such a thing exists?

Have the blocks together now, but even with a shelf full of flannel fabric there is nothing in there that would look nice... so will have to wait until I can get out to shop again.

Took a break from machine sewing to work on the GFG for a while. I think I am almost to the half way mark. With luck I can get it done in another year or two. I know I am slow, but I am still working a full time job, so some day when I retire I should have more time to sew!!!!

Great timing! I did the quilting on a baby quilted backed with a Whisper fleece and did the binding last night, then today quilted 2 lap quilts for charity and have a 3rd all loaded on the frame and will quilt tomorrow-all charity quilts. Have a customer's quilt finished and will be getting it to the customer this week. Also hit a LQS anniversary sale for batting and speciality thread (even drug my DH and we went out to lunch too). Tomorrow's plan is to quilt that 3rd charity quilt and then get back on the DSM to work on that nightmare Storm At Sea!!

well no quilting but sat and embroidered a label for the quilt I'm making for a friend and pinned all the pictures in place. It is MSQC quick cathedral window. Picture only part as I'm waiting for a larger area to sandwich and quilt.

I started a simple baby quilt for a baby shower I am attending next weekend and am hoping to finish it today. Colors for the baby are yellow and gray. Here's a picture of the top--one of the fabrics is the poem Twinkle Twinkle little star. I pieced together the back from leftover twinkle little star .fabric and the yellow with white dots fabric. Putting sandwich together today so I can SID and get label/binding on today too if all goes well. TYIA for looking. Bobbie

kristakz, beautiful dress and love the Christmas tree. And thanks for the info!
sewgranny1, cute baby blanket!
I had a productive day at the Open Sew yesterday. Managed to get everything done that I took. Now to finish the table runners but probably won't get to that until tomorrow. Today I'm taking a wool applique class with Lisa Bonjean which should be fun. Will check back in later tonight when I get back home. Keep up the great work everyone!

I'm ready to quilt nonstop as I'm getting inspired this weekend! Three of my quilting friends are with me and we are doing the Minnesota shop hop! Hope to finish our third section today heading home. So many pretty quilts and ideas galore...can't wait to get started!
