joyce888 cutting is a big part of the job just cut 1" strip black fabric and start putting them together = to 12"sq. blocks mix and match 2"sqs. 4"sqs.6"sqs.8"sqs.10'sqs 12"sqs till you get what you like. Have fun.
Thank you all for liking my quilt. I really enjoyed making it. I'm going to do another one. Hope to see some of you make one and share pictures with us

Was the black fabric heavy or just a normal cotton? Your quilt is absolutely wonderful. One of THE best denim quilts i've seen. Thanks for sharing.

The black is Kona cotton 1" strips you do 1/4 seams so it end up 1/2" sashing around the squares.

The patterned fabric really stands out. Is it flannel?

Great quilt! I have a denim quilt since 1976 and it still looks new after all these years!

I love the way this one turned out. And oh the memories you have created. I have never seen a stained glass denim quilt. Looks great.

By chance what type of fabric did you use to frame the denim blocks..........regular cotton or black denim? And is that white/beige denim as I know I have some in my stash but just needed to know if you used all denim on the top or mixture of fabric types? Great layout.
