UFOs? Noooo, not me. I don't have any UFOs, just a stack of flimsies, a few boxes of cut stuff, and some preassembled stuff - but UFOs, nope - not a one. LOLOLOL

This thread is great and hilarious! I definitely have unleashed the binge this last week. It all start with a couple daily deals and a golden ticket. Everything I ordered is for a project I'm working on for my bed though.

Although, I admit I *almost* ordered a jelly roll for a "scrappy" table runner UFO I've got going as a leader ender project. I resisted though...

Went to the thrift store yesterday and was pushed off the wagon. Fortunately, I wasn't hurt as I landed in a pile of fabric. I got 4 yards of cream colored pinwale corduroy, 2 yards of hand dyed muslin and 3 yards that's woven with a gold colored weft & black warp (or maybe vice versa ). I think they are calling it 'shot' cotton now. Anyway, all for way under $10. Did a burn test when I got home and it's all 100% cotton, so all keepers. I'm making a small quilt for use in the car in the winter & I'm going to use the corduroy as a backing. Heavy, but should keep it from slipping off!

As far as UFOs are concerned, I have my own definitions:
Pattern selected & fabric pulled, stored in a bag, box etc.- this is just maybe a quilt-to-be, or I might change my mind...
Fabric cut and I'm working on it - Top in Progress
Fabric cut but I haven't worked on it in "X" amount of time, where "X" is determined by whim, but usually around a month - UFO
Top done but not quilted - this is a completed top! Not a UFO!
Top Quilted but not bound - Back to UFO land...

I started on the mitered log cabin blocks. Got all the strips cut and dove into my own scrap bin to disassemble it into many strips. BTW - every off cut will come with me to Pismo Beach for my friend Joann who works with leaders and enders too. I started cutting a scrap piece for her from all of my pieces and now she will have some of yours as well. Share and share alike!

Next order of business was sorting all the strips into colors - then order them light to dark. Lastly I pulled out sets of 8 and clipped them together. So far I have 81 sets. I was able to copy the pattern at work today onto newsprint. It was very difficult printing on the home printer. Kept jamming. Now to sew them all down. It's a bit tedious. I should use it as a filler job but that doesn't seem to work either. Wonder how it will turn out with all those colors - a true scrapper.
