Beautiful hand quilting! I avoided such a fiasco when I gave a family heirloom quilt to my son when he married. I put his name on the label with the words "in the honor of his marriage". Sure enough, they divorced, and she took everything, literally leaving not a pot to p in. I have made him another one also. Had the wife wanted to claim it, she would have not gotten it. (That was the first thing he grabbed when the marriage was over.)

Your doodling is perfect. My thought about your ex asking for the quilt is "oh, my God"! Thank you Jesus, the judge had some sense! My prayers are that every stitch will bring you peace of mind.

I will always remember your stapling!!! Mine wanted to leave and wanted me to pack his things. He found them scattered in the front yard.
