I have one to make you laugh, I sat down over the week-end with my Light Box & copied a Snowman to Embroider after he was copied I went to iron some fusible material on the back so the stitches don't show & guess what? I had copied him with a FRIXON PEN and he was gone. In the freezer he went & today he's back. Next time I'll look better at my pen.

How disappointing. You must belong to the same club that I do. Usually, if I give it a couple of days; the little pixies that took it put it right back where it was supposed to be. Hope your pixies work like mine.

I just recently had that happen with a fat quarter packet I bought at Quilt Fest 2014. Last year I decided I need some more fabrics to go with it and took it with me to Festival. I was looking for it and couldn't find it anywhere. I finally decided I had lost it I was sitting in my sewing room doing some frog stitch and looked down and in the back of one of my wire shelves that are under the extra table, there was my fat quarter pack! I had looked in those drawers but I looked from the front and they had slid down behind the other things in the drawer.

I hope your dilemma has a happy ending, too.

It is good to go to your stash. It makes it feel wanted and useful. Maybe you will find your kit tucked in the stash somewhere. Been there and done that.......................

This happened to me 2 years ago... We went to Myrtle Beach for Christmas. I packed a pattern and all of the fabrics I collected over the course of 18 month to cut if I had time... I didn't. I KNOW I put it in my son's suitcase when I was packing.... When I arrived home it was no where to be found. I checked the hotel room mutiple times before we left so I don't think it got left behind....

I put off calling the hotel in the hopes it would turn up.... It never did.

So I have started buying fabric again. This time I am keeping track of it.

I am forever losing rippers and scissors. I'll look everywhere. After I leave the room, walk away for a while, it is like everyone else says, they miraculously appear!!

Once I "lost" a pattern, sure of how the package looked. I looked for a brown package. It was in front of me all along, except, it was really a blue package.

It hasn't disappeared long enough. "Giving up" is good. It will soon materialize. Seems like there are several of us with this 'disease.'

I had to giggle when I read your post, Paper Princess. That's exactly what happens to me every once in a while, and that's when I see something I need to do in that particular room, set down whatever I have in my hand to complete the newly-seen "to-do" and then go about my business, leaving behind my original project or object....until I begin to look for it. Ha!

Oh Yeah, I've got lots of "safe places", lol! Sometimes they are really, really, "safe" - even from me!
