I use my brush, and the skinny pipe cleaner shaped brush first, but you can't always get it lifted out, so then I use the mini vac brush, to get the loose pieces. I will try the pipe cleaners too, and most certainly advise getting a pro clean and service once a year. But I run a lot of thread and flannel through my precious Janome, so clean often at home.

Quips and pipe cleaners and a very small portrait paint brush( not one you use for walls). These are great I use a feather for the top discs.

EasyPeasy what is the name of the log cabin quilt pattern you use on your site? I can figure it out but if I can find the pattern it would be so much easier.

There is no pattern. I just made it up from scratch...paper-piece.

I recently looked for pipe cleaners and was told they are calling them craft sticks now. What? Everything has to have a name change these days it seems. But for cleaning my machine I've been using an old mascara brush that I washed really well. It's slightly curved and it does a great job. Plus the can of air (yes, from behind only).

So many good ideas. I have the mini vacuum set, but agree it's limited. Thanks!
