I was making a dress for my DGD and sewed the top of the top facing to the bottom while sewing the top to the skirt. It was such a job ripping it out without ripping into the dress. But I did it and the dress turned out fine. I do things like that often when I am in a hurry.

[QUOTE=Tartan;7494785]I am constantly amazed at my ability to make new quilting mistakes. I am back trying to catch up on my scrappy blocks when I noticed I had somehow sewn this strip with 2 darks layered instead 1 . Now that is just silly and I don't know how I missed it

I've done it also. Glad or your post ad to see I'm not alone. Thank you! Bevery

What is the pattern you have used? It is really very nice.

Beverly, the block is from my scrappy Twist and Shout top. I think I posted a picture of blocks done under the title 1/2 Twist and Shout Blocks .

Yes, it is in the air. I just did that a couple of days ago!

Yes, I have done that. It was hard to find after proceeding with the project. I discovered it when I got to the last block and found a piece was missing and I knew how many I had cut because I had counted them as I cut. I did not go back and take it out even though I discovered where it was. I cut a new piece for that block. It was not obvious after I quilted it. I wish that was the 'worst' mistake I have ever made!
