I use my 15" ruler to cut almost all of my fabric. Cutting multiple strips goes fast.

This power cutting video was recently posted on this board. I watched it yesterday and tried it. Son of a Gun! It's amazing! You might want to watch it before you decide to return that 15" square!

If you can get them during a good sale, go for it! It sounds silly, but you will use slightly different sizes for projects. I have a 5" and a 6 1/2" and I prefer them at different times. Same thing for larger ones. But, never pay full price because there are too many options for deals.

I'm not much of a ruler collector (yet) but am finding that the different square ones are quite useful. The larger one that I have (16" or 16-1/2") can be rather cumbersome when doing 12" or smaller blocks, which are what I do most often.

I think I would keep them both. I have a 12.5 square quilting ruler and I really wish I had a larger one at times, but will wait for a very good sale before I can buy one.

I think you should count yourself "smart"! One can never have too many rulers....even if you only use it one time, it's invaluable when you need it! I know that you will be happy to let it be known among your quilting friends that you will be happy to share........then they, in turn, may share something with you..... Sort of that "pay it forward" mentality.........

If you only use each of them once, it will be the one time that to NOT have them would have meant headaches.
