    Yes, this is a catch-22. I tell people I give my quilts away but no one has enough money to buy one! (There is about 550 hours invested in this quilt.)

    Personally, I wouldn't take anything less than $800-$1000, considering it has applique. Just remember that if you lowball yourself, this person's friend is going to want the same price to make HERS when she sees this quilt. You'll start a snowball down the hill that you won't be able to stop....
