Default fabri-ho-lic

yesterday I went to joann because of their 60% off coupon. my buggy was full of buttercream fabrics reg. $12.99/yd) so pretty and soft at 40% sale plus other quilting tools. I took the fabric for a ride through the store, and in the end, I just bought the quilting ruler, gloss sealer for my paintings, rotary blades 5pks, etc. no fabric. spent $80 but no fabric woo hoo!!!!

localgirl1 we were on the same wavelength that's what I used my 60% off coupon on too. I'm thinking 5 blades might keep me busy for another year if I stay off of the ceramic table. I just looked back I have to add 7 1/2 yards to my stash for the fabric that won't be used the way I intended. Have to find a project for all of that.

Tables do not count do they? I plan to buy three 8 foot folding tables to set together to make quilts on and get up off the floor. I did fall off the wagon $1 Friday. I bought bright yellow sheet at the my down home thrift shop. Is for my Little Orphan Annie quilt.

I will not get tables till we go to big city
again and that will be at least a few months. Can not do on bus. I will get room ready.

fraabic doesn't count when it's used to finish a current project. And the tables don't count either so you are still on the wagon. Good Job Coloradowest.

I have three 8 ft tables and love them. Much easier to sandwich a quilt on the table than on my knees. Just not as flexible as I use to be! You will love having the tables.

Default Oh no!!!!!

Yesterday when I wasn't looking, my dear cousin in law (hereafter referred to as DC) showed up. DH thought I was napping and didn't want to wake me. Instead I was in my studio trying to decide which UFO to tackle next and just plain didn't hear DC's arrival. So, while I blissfully eyed various UFOs and contemplated a current piece in progress and congratulated myself on using up yet more of my stash, DC was downstairs lamenting to DH that she'd been unable to find her late husband's silk ties which she thought I'd like to use for something. Instead she reminded him of an interesting idea she'd seen, something called a t-shirt quilt, which she was sure I'd do a really good job of if only I had the right materials. I bet you can guess the rest (but maybe not the quantity).

DC left behind one of those large plastic trash bags full of t-shirts. I'm thinking that since this is really not my fault it's not a fall off the wagon right???????????? But where to put them in my tiny 8.5' x 8.5' sewing studio. If DC had a hobby I could retaliate by dropping some supplies off at her house......

Rob, at least you know who to blame! I've been the victim of anonymous midnight fabric drive bys. Wake up in the morning to find a grocery bag of scraps on my porch. I guess it beats the other summer drop off items: zucchini the size of baseball bats.
Other news: Connecting Threads just introduced 2 new lines of fabric. I've been looking for a good tea-stain and one of the new fabrics might just fit the bill.

Well I almost got rid of a bag of scraps but it didn't work out. So they are sitting in my foyer waiting for the next victim to come by.

My mom fell at my brother's (I wonder if his wife tried to do her in - lol) so she is in the hospital. Since she lives in Germany it drives home just how far away I live. Worry and quilting doesn't mix. Have not been in my room since.
