That is just adorable/humorous. Poor SBS. She has some issues doesn't she.

The story I told at the guild meeting tonight was that SBS moved into a town house and it came with cable. She watched a lot of TV and started to have these terrible nightmares. So far I'm still being good as far as fabric purchasing goes. Put some in the basket online today and didn't push the order button.

Excellent Martina! I managed to get past the fat quarter shelf again this week. I think it was basically that my schedule was just too busy to be able to stop.

I actually have a label for Sue - it may need some more tweaks but here is the gist:

“Sunbonnet Sue’s Nightmares” (2016)

by Martina Graham and Friends

(BettyBoopTX, Ducky, gaigai, kwhite & sandpat)

Poor Sue, what did you do - how did you land in a pot of stew?

Poor Sue, tied to a spit – slathered with sauce until she lost her wit.

Poor Sue, shy and coy - rolled into sushi with wasabi and soy.

Poor Sue, stumbled on a rock - the birds attacked her in a flock.

Poor Sue, such a plodder - ended up as Eagle fodder.

Poor Sue, out of practice - fell off the horse onto a cactus.

Poor Sue held a snake as a joke; the reptile coiled tight

and every bone broke.

Poor Sue in a web - arms stretched wider was tackled by

a giant spider.

Poor Sue, nosey looky-loo - got buried under pachyderm poo.

Poor Sue simply felt sick, in her watery crypt with a lock

she couldn’t pick.

Poor Sue, lost on a trip - got beamed up to the mothership?

Poor Sue what a gaffe, the magic act cut her up in half.

Poor Sue stumbled from a bar - got run over by a car.

Poor Sue mixed pills and booze; no longer does she sing the blues.

Poor Sue on her way to the loo got attacked by fighting Sioux.

Poor Sue, pulled from the grave – now she’s Frankenstein’s

monster’s slave.

Poor Sue on the garden path - struck down by the goddess’ wrath.

Poor Sue cast a spell with a chicken foot – now she is turned

to rags and wood.

Poor Sue, hot flash made her fuss – she blew up and turned

to cosmic dust.

Poor Sue bade us farewell - will she be in heaven or will it be hell?

(I know the answer but will not tell.)

Seems like some of Sue's predicaments were brought on by herself, others just dumb luck...

Okay bought fabric today...6 yards...2 for a specific purpose...the other 4 just because..oops...

I did pick up 2 yards of flannel that the diaper bag pattern calls for and I had a 50% coupon. My BFF bought A LOT more but she has no stash (yet).

it was bag lady day. I got the fabric for the binding of the spring placemats. Some fabric for summer placemats that will use up about 2 yards of stash when I get to it. And two yards for a future phoenix project that I haven't even designed yet. I think I have to consider that stash building.

I've been away for a week. My DMIL had a heart attack last Monday and passed yesterday. Although she was 102, it was sudden. My husband gathered up all her silky poly blouses & wants lots of memory quilts for him and his siblings. I won't need to buy additional fabric, but I'm sure going to have to invest in some iron on interfacing.
