Congratulations on the weight loss. My first thought was a rag quilt mixed with flannels too. Good luck on finding something you like.

Happy for your great will power..... As for the cathedral window pattern you can check MSQC, she has a tutorial on one and you can use a saucer or plate or whatever depending on how big you want it. I think it would make a great car quilt.

How about a rag quilt pattern! I always thought denim was a good fabric for those. Also if you want to include some flannels squares suggested by someone else! Congratulations on the weight loss!

Epidemic is right. I think it's in the water. Mine are just hanging around in the closet.

I have a whole box of old jean squares in a box in the garage. About a dozen are hand embroidered - a project I started (gasp!) in high school. I abandoned that project but couldn't throw them out because some of the embroidered ones were done by friends. Lately I decided to use the rest one them to make a faux cathedral window quilt. I even bought one of the Olfa circle cutters to cut them but hadn't decided what fabrics to use in the centers. Brights? Bandana? Flannel?
