The quilt is just gorgeous. I can't believe the family members wouldn't of wanted it but I suppose everyone isn't into quilts. It was well taken care of. It is in beautiful condition. Well it went to a good home. Enjoy!

My husband's aunt made a quilt we inherited using the same green and white, different flowers must have been popular for a while she made hers in the 1930's I think. Your quilt is beautiful!

That is a beautiful old quilt, and I am very glad it was given to you who can really appreciate it. There is a LOT of hand quilting which I can appreciate since I do some hand quilting. Do you suppose the quilt has been stored most of its life? The colors don't look a bit faded and the white not a bit yellowed.

What a lovely quilt! You certainly have an heirloom quilt. Do make a label telling who, where, why, what, the names of people who gave it to you, and if possible, give the names of the persons who made the quilt. In times to come, you may want to donate it to a museum for its historical value.

Wow - it's a beautiful quilt! I can't imagine anybody not wanting it. The love and hard work put into it is awesome. I do know that the yellow petal in the flower is from 1930's fabric. Not sure about the plaids - don't ever recall seeing plaids in 1930's fabrics. I would be thrilled to have a quilt like that and am happy for you.

It's a beautiful quilt and quite the treasure. I would definitely have it appraised. For 2 reasons. If it is that old, you may want to add an amendment to your home insurance, to make sure it is covered. Also, if it is that old, you might want to consider donating it to a museum in the future. At least investigate what an appraisal will cost in your area. In AZ it runs about $45.
