Default Janome Skyline S3/S5

Is anyone familiar with these machines and can give an opinion? I've read online reviews and they seem to be good machines. I have an embroidery machine and a longarm, so I'll be using it for piecing and clothes sewing. I'm replacing my 12 year old Bernina 150 QE and chose this Janome based on the features it has compared with those that I used on my Bernina. The only reason I don't want another Bernina is the local dealer takes over 2 months to do a simple cleaning and tuning on the machines. Any info would be appreciated.

I have the Skyline S3.I had done some research before I bought a new machine, actually the store showed this to me online before it came out and by their recommendation I ordered it. I bought it when it first came out(about 1 1/2 years ago), and it replaced my 30+year old Kenmore.I love it! Easy to use right out of the box,I mainly sew purses and quilts, but it has gone through some thicker fabric too.

That is very sad about your local Bernina dealership.

I know. It's very annoying because when I take it in they always say it'll be 2 weeks and then I have to keep calling and calling. Very poor customer service.
Thanks bnimom and maniac. I'll go try it out tomorrow.
