Thanks! The background is a vintage fabric. Not as far back as 1930s, but I used it anyway.

Just now getting back to quilting some. It seems after 60 years together, it is very strange to be by myself and getting back in a routine. I guess my hardest thing is trying to cook for just myself, not that hungry yet.
    I going to try to add 43 & 44.
Here is what the same block paper pieced. It sure didn't turn out right, but will still use it.

BE- U- T- FUL, GrannyQ. You have so many different green fabrics!

Are you recently widowed? 60 years is a long time, indeed: A lifetime (I'm 60.)

I've missed seeing your lovely green blocks and these latest additions are just wonderful. I know what you mean about cooking being a problem, but I guarantee your appetite will return. My DH passed away several years ago and my children are long grown and have families of their own, but I still cook as though I have a house full! I freeze a lot and waste a lot! Getting back to quilting is just the ticket to get you through some tough days.

My goodness... that is very recent. I know it's going to take a lot of time and adjustment. Hugs and prayers go with you.

We lost my husband's sister on Aug. 26. Still can't believe we can't pick up the phone and talk to her.

It is lovely to see you posting your lovely green blocks again, GrannyQ. No mistakes, just unique blocks you have created. We just celebrated our own fifty years together this year. DGM just had thirty two years, so we feel blessed. Every day we have is a 'gift' seems like because today is the present. Tomorow is yet to come and yesterday is history.
