Evening time is my favorite time to spend in the sewing room. After work and dinner. Of course I may spend all weekend up there too.

Mornings, once DH and DS are off to work and school. I throw in laundry (that's my housework) and head to my sanctuary. I also sew when DH is watching football or some other thing I'm not interested in. I just say, I'm going to sew something.

I can sew/quilt whenever I want. I'm my own boss now so can do whatever I want and really enjoy it.

As early in the day as possible. At night, I do dumb things - sew upside down, inside out. Have even ripped out only to make the same mistake again!

Morning is my favorite time to quilt, but I am seldom home before noon. When I do get home, I quilt every free minute. If I am cooking something that I can leave for a few minutes, I dash to my sewing room. I work on quilting projects until dark. If I have hand sewing, I work on that at night while I watch TV. Like Lavender Blue, I do not do well with machine sewing at night. I'm just too tired by that time, but I find hand sewing relaxing.

I like to do a little housework in the morning. However, after lunch watch out. if I put a quilt top on the long arm, then it is all day til finished!

Like Jackie and Leta, I work...owning two businesses is more than full-time so I usually only see my sewing room on weekends. Since daylight savings and my internal clock is screwed up, I have been in the sewing room a couple of mornings around 5 am. I'll take what I can get.

Since retiring, I sew mostly in the morning - or I practice FMQ on my Sweet 16 - after naps I go back out to my sewing room to do whatever I want to and at night I usually do mainly English paper piecing. I love being retired and sew trying to make up for all the times I missed during my working career. I really appreciate my time at my hobby and I applaud all of you ladies that work and come home and sew. You have to be pretty determined to get to do what you love.
