    Default Anyone Know this Technique?

I saw a quilt recently, (unfortunately, now I can't find it!), and the blocks were made of thin strips of fabric scattered on a background, sort of like pick-up-sticks. The thin strips went every which way and wove under each other.

If anyone knows what I'm talking about, I'd love to know more about the technique.

    Thanks, Watson

Try Paul's Block Party Pickup Sticks Quilt on Google to find a tutorial for making such a quilt. Not sure if it is what you are looking for.

I'm going to give that one a try-even yet tonight. That is really neat. Maybe I will make mine bigger and make it into a pillow top. Thank you, Watson, for asking the question and thank you, QuiltnNan for the link. I am back on the board tonight because I have hit a mental roadblock with my project. That will be better in the morning.

Here is a similar one from a book Accent on Angles. I bought the book several months ago just to have the pattern. I still haven't tried it. Dragon Bones...scroll down just a bit.

That first one, pauls block party, looks like it, except there were a LOT more sticks and the designer had cut the block into a circle when she was done and put it on a background. She said in the article she had discovered a new technique to make it go faster.
I wrote the name of the book down, but my husband "cleaned up" and now I can't find the little bit of paper I wrote it on.
I love that Dragon Bones quilt!
