I love this, log cabins are one of my favorite blocks and your color choices really make this a winner!

    Wonderful,
I like how many different ways log cabin blocks can be displayed.

That turned out wonderful! When I made mine I precut all my logs and kept them in a candy tin stacked up by size and value. For me it was a great mindless sewing project. It is the kind of project that if you only have a few minutes to sew you can sit down and work with it and leave it for later without too much brain strain. LOL. I did find that after the first few were assembled and laid out I gravitated to doing like colors in each dark portion of the clamshell so I ended up with some clamshells that were predominantly blue or red or black in mine but overall it looks scrappy. I also used some of lights wrong side up as they were not light enough right side up now you would have a hard time finding them in the quilt. Like you, I also fussy cut a few logs, it was fun and a great stash buster. I have found another offset log cabin layout that I will use for another and my next one I won't use just Asian scraps although I still have a lot of those and they will end up in the next one. I never would of thought you could mix all those different styles but it totally works with this wonderful block.
