It seems that this mustard yellow is the next big color. I looked all over the internet for a blouse for fall of this color with a french floral on it. I finally found one that wasn't an arm and a leg at of all places, Burlington Coat Factory.

I personally would find the large print fabric shown in your picture and frame it with that after a white border to stop the action. Then a binding of the black dot.

I've taken the pledge to shop from my stash, so I am trying to use up scraps and things I already have. I put the background around the edge to stop the layer cakes from spilling over, then a strip of the orange/mustard/cheddar that I had...had one 6 inch by 2 1/2 inch piece left over, and then a wider border of the black with the bees. I had that on hand too. But I am one piece 6 inches by 30 inches short. I sure hope they have some.

I think Red's advice was spot on, but my purse is wearing handcuffs.

Looks like I might be the first one to post this weeks block. Looks like I need to press a little more.

Very pretty Jane,I see you made hst to make the large red triangle. I was going to do that if the solid red triangle I did didn't turn out. It wasn't as bad as I thought. Hope you can follow what I said.lol

I had trouble with this one too. I think I was in the habit of cutting extra large pieces and then doing a lot of trimming. So of course I did not read the directions when I tried to trim the first one, cut way too much off and ruined it. So will start over.

I sewed the cream triangle to the blue/cream hst then sewed the other cream triangle to it. Ended up with a large triangle like the red one. Then of course they went together and I had hardly anything to trim. Not sure this will help you. I had to figure this out myself. I have never done one like that before. Good luck ladies

I love everyone's blocks-some RWB, some brights, some civil war and some repo 30's I haven't even started yet but I am printing off the patterns every week. I am working on the Rest and Refreshing CW Sampler and have all of the blocks done and hoping to finish that up before I start another project. Love the Summer Picnic pattern and was thinking of making it out of Halloween fabric or Christmas fabric-would like any one's opinion and input. So far I am just lurking and enjoying all of the beautiful blocks everyone is making. Keep up the great work everyone.
