I have used panels for years for seasonal, holiday, baby, children's, hobbies, other interests.
So easy to use and you can get as detailed as you want for the other blocks and sashing.

petthefabric,

Your quilt is breathtaking, what a wonderful choice of pattern and fabrics you used. Thanks for sharing.

petthefabric.... You did a great job on that panel.
I wanted to make two wall hangings..both with an Asian theme....the panel I have has geishas on it. The panel you have shown here...would you say that it has an Asian feel to it? If so, could you tell me where you bought it? Thank you.

jillmc....nice quilts. I've made a few seasonal attic windows with panels. They are nice to have on hand for gifts.

The tree one is one of the panels I have!
I assume that the larger border you used on the tree panel is batik fabric.
No, not a batik, it was a printed fabric in the same collection as the tree. The panel has a "peacock" kind of border and I played with that to make the border all the way around, and added a flange.

First is a lighthouse panel that I cut into strips,

This one was for a tuxedo cat lover friend of 40 years, she was thrilled! I cut it up and added extra blocks

Hope it will post this time

Linda...yes, they both posted this time. Thanks for sharing. I am getting lots of ideas. The lighthouse one is an interesting/different take on adding to a panel.
Also, thanks for the extra info. I am going to look for the border fabric for the tree one

I'm just starting to use panels and a couple that are here, I have. It was a challenge at first but I'm getting more comfortable using them. I want to make the window, love that. So many ideas and so little time. Thanks for the great ideas.
