[ATTACH=CONFIG]587910[/ATTACH]Here’s a pattern that might appeal to you. It’s less complicated than it looks. Start with some graph paper to plan and a set of colored pencils. It’s a great way to start. Look up Teslalating quilt patterns too. Good luck. Tesl

Welcome David from PA, This has been a great forum for beginners and advanced quilters alike. I enjoy looking at the pictures and the reading to post. Welcome from Ontario, Canada. Old Singer machines are reliable and not much to go wrong on them. You might enjoy watching YouTube videos of The Quilting Marine.

Welcome, David! I'm not a male, but less than a year ago my ex-husband who is close to your age asked if I would show him how to make a quilt and he's made 3 so far. I've been trying to get him to join this board, but no luck yet.
