I used a Fons and Porter pattern I found online for free. I can't seem to find it at the moment, but here's what I made.

I did mine from MSQC tutorial with Jenny. Just search for Curved Log Cabin. It was my first and my daughter loved it.[ATTACH=CONFIG]589631[/ATTACH]

I would also try your public library - they most likely have a book on log cabins with patterns & pictures.
