here are some that don't require binding, I've used the last method for years, a nice gift without taking a day out of your life

You have been a busy bee. Your project turned out very nice. I especially love the quilt. There is a bit of imagination in all of us. Who doesn't love fairies and hobbits? And that's a village for the fairies and hobbits for sure.

The wonky house piece is adorable! I, too, thought about suggesting the birthing method for the coasters, but then the quilting needs to be done after the birthing. Sometimes you may end up with puckers that way. My other thought is to make the coaster round. Then, you would need your binding cut on the bias in order to lay nice, but there would be no corners to turn....just one joining point.
