Hi alwaysdreaming, I have the same problem, but I found that if you start with a patterned fabrics with different colors, start matching colors in that with some solids. Good luck!

Is the pattern for your table runner in this book of Eileen Wright's "Twist and Turn Bargello"? I have been looking for a pattern on this table runner and I cannot seem to find one. Thanks! I love the colors that you chose!!

Beautiful bargellos, I especially like the red one because it seems to move. And don't even get me started on the pieced quilt (which is perfectly wonderful on it's own) that you used as a backing for the red, or maybe vice-versa)

I have only made one bargello from Ellen's book and thought that once was enough, but each time I see one like yours I think I may have to do another. For me the most important part of the entire quilt was keeping a color chart on the wall right in front of me. Without it I would still be trying to figure out what goes where.

I love your color choice on your big quilt. It’s gorgeous!

Great job job in the table runner as well.

What everyone else said! Love the colors, love the designs, and am especially happily surprised by the pieced backing on the second one.
