I mostly only buy hi-loft poly batting. I had stocked up and sewing my scraps together I haven't needed any lately. After I sandwich 12 more quilts I am sure I will be buying more.

You guys are lucky you're not living in Canada, where a queen size cotton package of batting runs $95. any time ! I sometimes buy at Michaels with 40% coupon

I have learned to "stalk" Amazon. I put something in my cart and then "save for later" - and watch the prices change. I have seen some unbelievable price swings.
I do this for Amazon and Walmart. I had a Go die in my cart for a few months at Walmart and one day I got an email saying some items in my cart had a price change. It dropped to 60% off. Amazon does not delete your items and I don't think Walmart does either.

Don't you just hate paying big money for a product that isn't even seen? I have no problem using fleece for backing/no batting, especially for charity quilts. One step and can be purchased pretty reasonably when on sale.

Sometimes Overstock.com has good deals on 80/20 by the roll. Especially if you get their coupons by email, and shipping is often free, too

I am so glad I am a hoarder. I won't have to buy fabric or batting from now until doomsday.

I stalk Amazon too.

I found a humongous amount of batting I forgot all about last Fall. I will probably not live to use it up but I see something new and have to try it. ha ha
