Default Superior thread Cones - best place, cheapest

My HQ Avante has finally started sewing decency after almost 3 years. Had to turn needle different and using Superior and Bottom line thread works great. It broke the cheaper thread several times so I need to buy more Superior thread. Questions: is there a good color that generally works well in quilting dark colors or do I have to buy several colors? Where is the best place to buy this thread? Thanks.

I can't answer you about the color, but my go to place to buy thread online is Red Rock Threads. They are reliable, have a decent selection and will call if there are items that are backordered.

If you want Superior brand threads, why not order from Superior Threads? A quick comparison showed RR to be 50 cents cheaper for a cone, but shipping was more.

You can order directly from Superior. (Superiorthreads.com) and can also buy color cards for a small fee.

I save my thread purchases for quilt shows. They usually have some sort of special at the shows, like a discount for multiple cones. Superior usually vends at the bigger shows.

I buy Superior threads from Superior website. I haven't found any place selling it cheaper. Sign up for the newsletter and get first view of all the sale items. And shipping is under $4 or free depending on how much you buy. If there is a special at a show it's the same on the website.

I buy mine from Kingmen Quilting Supplies. Much cheaper and they carry many brands. I only pay $7.95 for glide. I have bout Omni and So Fine from them too.

I purchase all of my Superior brand thread from Superior Threads. Never thought about trying to find it somewhere else.
