Can you make your own 45 degree kaleidoscope ruler?

I guess I will have to think about this one, will weigh one against the other. Have a few things around here, that were pricey and worked just right for the job, did I use them again? Not much. Will see. Thanks for your thoughts.I know someone who has every ruler, template you can imagine, does she use them? I do not think so. There are collector people too, I am not one of them, unless I know it is something I can not live without.

If you don't need to be able to see through the ruler, just draw one out on cardboard using the 45* marking on your regular ruler. Have a quick look at this little you tube to see how easy it is to cut either side of the template. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6ix9xrAjdX4

Yes, check if you already own rulers with 45° markings on it. I think your 24x6 ruler might. Also you can tape a paper to an excisting ruler and use that as guide.My husband has made plexiglass rulers for me before. He is a wood worker and it did not take much for him to make them as he used his skills and tools were already in the garage.

I think it's actually easier to use the ruler if you can keep your mind on what you're doing
