Yes his Dad gets him. Sigh, he isn't a good man. I don't have have confidence in how he will raise him.
DNiece has decided that she will send him here for a week during the 30 days she will have him this summer. DD DM & I will share him. I really didn't want to take away from her time but that is my only choice.

I have been keeping myself busy to keep my mind off of things. Yesterday is a great example of how busy I have kept myself. First I went w/Mike to get the title to the Nissan finalized. A quick trip to the tire store reveled that we do want to drive to Brownwood to get tires from Discount Tires. Then we went to Walmart.
We got up an hour later & then I was moving slow (OK, slower'n usual) so we didn't get home till around 12:30. We weren't ready for lunch yet so DH got the stickers on the Nissan & I drug the big bag of potting soil to the front porch & filled 3 pots w/it. I then planted some Cosmos seeds in all 3. I wasn't through w/those when Mike drove to get some gas & add some fuel cleaner to the full gas tank. Actually I was still working on 'em when he got back. Once I put those pots where I wanted 'em we got lunch.
It was about 2:00 when DM called & wanted us to come & have DH hook up her printer. It took him a bit to get it all hooked up to her computer. We were only home a few minutes when I realized that it was time to walk w/DM. She has been doing a pedal exercise & it seems to be hurting her knee. Her Dr told her to walk instead till it heals. He also gave her some meds for it & if it isn't better in 2 weeks he wants to do an X-ray.
I actually got to sit for about 30 minutes before supper. Right after supper I got outside to plant those Pinta's that we bought on Monday. I didn't want to plant 'em till evening. After those were planted I also planted the Liatris bulbs. Then watered all my beds & pots. Why do things take so much longer'n I think they should? OK I do know that part of it is that I'm slow, but still. It was after 9:00 before I was through watering. Yup, I was watering in the dark.

Bev, I would love to see your yard/garden, with all the lovely things you will soon have growing and blooming.

Prayers for the little boy who will live with his Dad. Hope that the situation may change later.

SBG, our son and dil are having a girl. Imagine my excitement! I have 3 boys and males seem to dominate our family!
So many of us just have boys!
I slept all day yesterday. I'm so worn out and sad. Of course it's be to expected. But I have zero energy for anything.
I want to get going on baby things. I brought all my Mom's knitting home and could hardly look at it. Maybe I just need more time.
I've been surfing this board a lot though. I'll get back into the groove one of these days or weeks or months.

SusieQ, have you been cleaning out your mom's house? It's so hard to say goodbye to our parents. I'm sorry for what you are going through.

Congrats on the upcoming granddaughter! You will have so much fun making little girly things. We are going back to Memphis to see the grandbabies this afternoon... staying for the weekend only. Hubby has not yet met #2. I'm so excited to hold her again. Hope we get to see #1 too... haven't had confirmation from dil yet. ( Access is definitely different when it's your own daughter's baby or your dil's baby!)

I spent yesterday making some Boppy covers. Boppys are the big cresent shaped pillows you hold baby on, or use for breastfeeding support. Also made some dribble bibs for bottle feedings, and some hats. Quilts don't seem to be a need yet, what with all the wraps and swaddles they both have for the babies. I may wait until the girls are older for quilts for their beds.

Still knitting a unicorn for #1, for Christmas. #2 will get a knitted fox.

Not cleaning out Mom's house. She lived in NY and I'm in Ohio. My brother is staying there till we figure things out.
I'm the only knitter so I took it all. We've all taken some things but there is still a ton. We'll get it figured out.
It was so wonderful being with all the family. I'm missing them right now too. My sister lives near me and that's good but all the rest are in NY
Have a wonderful time with those angels!!

And thanks for the kind words. We all go through it but it sure is tough.
Also- you are so right about being the Mom vs the MIL- I am aware of that and will hopefully keep remembering!!

Well I thought I'd post some picts of flowers. Now my flowerbed is mostly green right now but there are some other flowers around & about.

Here is the first bloom on my American Wisteria!

These are DGDad's Irises. I have done nothing to these except make sure that walking sprinkler, when it is run the down that side of the yard, it is set to water these also.

These are Verbinia. They are growing everywhere.

I think these are a wild Cosmos.

The next ones are Bluebonnets. These are by the boat ramp on Bear Creek.

And finally the one by my flowerbed.

Then the last ones are the tiny flowers ya can't see unless ya walk out in the lots as they are so tiny.

These last 2 are wild onion.
