Apparently I'm cleaning and organizing. Moved my sewing desk. Still need to set up my ironing board. I think I need a box to thin out the closet. Every thing has been in the same arrangement since I took over one of the empty bedrooms for a sewing room, 20+ years ago.
Meanwhile, working on block #6 on my hand applique. It may be time to start considering block #7.

I知 in. Made kitchen curtains for our new house yesterday. I知 quilting a twin size top my mom made today. Her first in 55 years. She just moved in with us after we moved my dad to memory care. I got her set up on her old Singer 99K and she seemed to really enjoy herself. I知 so glad because she値l need something to occupy her empty days. After 66 years of marriage she値l need something to focus on. My project for tomorrow is quilting a top I designed for a Native American friend. I値l post both when I知 done. Happy quilting!!

I really like Michele's quilt too - another to add to my bucket!

I decided to work on my mini quilt bible verses. I have a stand at work that will hold a 12x14 quilt, and I already machine embroidered the verses. I want to add small peiced borders to them. I've got about a dozen of them so once they are all pieced, I'll put backing on my LA and lay them out together and quilt them - then cut them apart and bind. I'm considering putting in eyelet holes so I can put them on binder rings so I can hang them all at the same time. Then just flip through them to find the one I want to display for the day. We'll see how it goes.

That sounds so cool, Susie.....I'm so glad my quilt inspired you to make one of your own. Can't wait to see it.

Michelle...your quilt is beautiful....really neat pattern.

Before I drag out the sewing machine for the day, I'm playing with a design for my second barn quilt. The board is sanded and ready.

Love the bunny, Sewbiz- I hope you are feeling better, sinus infections are no fun.

Karamarie- that sounds painful. I hope you have a speedy recovery.

I'm in awe at all the piecing and quilting everyone is getting done. I've been in a bit of a creative dry spell all summer, but today I did manage to make some progress on the UFO that I wanted to have done in June, and then it was going to be July and then Aug. I've gotten some more of the initial parts made so I can add another row across the top, then it will be large enough for a lap quilt if I add some borders. Here's a pic:

Sewed Friday night, most of Saturday finishing 9 appliqu馘 blocks and today added different sashing around each block. Working on string blocks as leader enders while making a pieced back.

Really pretty, Rob! You are on a mission now to get that baby done!

I finished 1/2 of the BG circles for the applique blocks so I'm prepped for 6 weeks of sew along...then called it a day.
