    Aw, this is the first time I am seeing this pattern. It is wonderful. And, so is your table topper. What a nice way to honor family and to keep them in mind. Great job!

    You made a lovely family photo. and I love the African Queen pattern. There are several different Queens. Would love to know who the true designer is.

    I also love the pattern and symbolism; however, neither my sister nor I have chosen to have children. My brothers only had daughters. My father was the only son and my mother had one brother who died at two months. Sadly, this is the end of both blood lines which can be traced to King James VI of Scotland and the Cherokee on the Trail of Tears.

    Sisters carry the blood line also. They may not carry the surname forward.
    I know of a couple who chose to take the woman's surname because she was the last of her family with that name, and the man's family had many males who had children with his name. Something to think about.
