I think we should start a thread showing the little fabrics that we have put aside.....for what? doomsday? Maybe just the right project. Maybe we could get suggestions of what to use it for.

Well I guess my self imposed fabric moratorium has worked as I have never seen Christmas fabric with purple! So I can't help you in your search. But I do have to comment that your presentation of those pretty potholders is so beautiful. I love how you cut out one of the poinsettias from the fabric to make a little tag for them and tying them with a little handmade ribbon made from the other fabric. Such a simple little thing that really elevates this to a very special gift.

I am one of those that use coveted fabrics for others and only on a rare occasion for myself. Make something for yourself of these precious not replaceable fabrics before you can't. That does not mean you shouldn't share with love these precious fabrics. That is what they are for. Once in a while we need to think of ourselves before we run out.

I love your choice of fabric patterns. I love classic prints like paisley, Jacobean florals, cabbage roses, etc.

Beautiful potholders and lucky friend to have received them. How about making some holiday napkins with your fabrics? I have no idea of where you may get fabrics of your color choice. May have to google it!!

I just found a couple of purple/gold combinations here that are Christmas fabrics:
