Ah ah I understand the feeling.... At first I was feeling guilty to use my 2 machines as parts but then I thought that they would continue their lives bringing other machines back to life and if it had not been for me, they would surely be scrap metal at the moment.

Update: Shopgoodwill is giving me a full refund for the damaged machine and I don't have to ship it back. That takes some of the sting out. Thank You shop goodwill.

Hub heights on the hand wheels have changed over the years in Singers. You may need to look that over, too.
