I'm not sure what you mean... I simply cut strips of one of the fabrics I used in the top. For the longer sides, I actually cut 4 strips and sewed them together by 2 to get long enough strips. Then I pinned them on the top side of quilt, sewed on, folded so that the edges ended up on the back side (with another fold with some seam allowance), Then pinned again.

Lastly I sewed them making a second stitch on the right side, right next to the fold (on the first stitch) to make the stitch as invisible as possible. I made sure that the the binding fabric on the back was wider do that it gets caught with the second stitch.

If your question is about the fabric maker though, I cannot help. I live in Poland, bought the fabric locally, never asked about the brand, but it is probably Polish and not necessarily available in America.

Thank you all for your kind words! The friends have picked the quilt today. They loved it and appreciated various details. They eventy asked how a quilt is made, sobota I showed them one that I had sandwiched but not quilted yet.

Solstice: I always draw patterns myself*, and I like to colour a drawn block with different combinations to try the effects. I use color pencils like those in schools, nothing fancy.

*I often use classic designs (I do not imagine that I invented the nine-patch, you know) but I always count the measurements of pieces to cut, number of blocks etc. from scratch. Most existing patterns have those in inches. Converting those to centimetres and scaling to my needs would be a nightmare, especially that even my usual seam allowance is 1cm, so simple multiplying and dividing would not work.

So lovely. I like the traditional colors and fabric prints.
