I finished trimming down the hourglass from step 2 before work this morning, I am hoping to start clue 3 in the morning. I think I have it figured out, but I want to sleep on it before I cut any fabric. I am really going to have to pay attention to my seam allowance on this one, I think.

I am loving seeing all of your colors and units!

Nice try, Quiltylikeafox! I think I know that same friend.

Amazingly, I’m actually finished with clue #3. I splurged on an AccuQuilt cutter in the Cyber Monday sales and it arrived Thursday. Luckily, the appropriate die came with the starter package I bought and that’s why I got this one done today. Cutting is my least favorite part of quilting (might be tied with binding!) and it’s definitely not my forte. This made it so much faster and more accurate! No trimming needed! I don’t think there was much extra fabric waste so I should still have what we need for the remaining clues.

Small world! Well, I stayed up until 2am, but im approximately 76% done with Clue 3 for Quilt 1. I plan on finishing it out in the morning and moving straight into Quilt 2. I'm thinking that for yardage, I can use the strip tube method to cut my Bourdeaux/White squares, and then I'll cut my Blue (Orange) squares using the essential triangle ruler.

I’m not usually a fan of orange, but I love you pumpkin fabric. They all look great.

Found it -thanks for the hint!
