I decided on 500. That would be for 250 boards if I don't break any or loose them in the fabric room. My stash isn't huge but large enough that I need help controlling it. Figured some may break and may find other uses for them too.

Julie, this is a great technique. I learned about it here on the board. It makes a huge difference!

Amazon says I should get my packages on Wednesday! Christmas is very easy for us this year. Brunch at DS on Eve, easy dinner with other DS Eve, easy dinner on Day. So, if I plan everything correctly I should be able start this process on Eve. Have a small table in fabric room that I should clear off to start the sorting process. So excited!

I have the comic book boards and the clips to start putting my smaller pieces of fabric upright. After the holidays is what I am telling myself. I am hopeful I will get it accomplished.

USPS delivered my comic boards and gator clips today. Didn't realize how heavy the boards are but then they have to be firm to stand up. Probably won't start working on this until Saturday. Busy working on a quilt that I want done asap.

Default It just takes time

You’re gonna love seeing where every piece of fabric is! Please post photos along the way and be patient and enjoy the process.

I use plastic coated paper clips. They are flatter than the alligator clips. Dollar Tree is the cheapest place to get them. Large 80 for $1. Small 250 for $1. On larger pieces I prefer the large. I have a lot of my fabric done, stacked on small shelves or on edge in office paper boxes. LOVE IT. I am making scrap quilt for charity and it makes it so easy to find what I need for borders and binding.

Started "The Process" this morning. Thought about it and decided on a routine that may work for me. Press yardage in the early morning for couple hours. Put on hangers to dry...using steam to press the fold tightly. While fabric is hanging, work on quilt project. After lunch measure yardage, make a tag, fold, smile! Playing with my fabric. Somewhere in there I should have coffee.
