great options for colors and styles to accommodate multiple preferences. certainly is an ambitious endeavor! I would choose the orange one for myself, but I really love them all!

Thank you. I quilt them myself. In the case of these quilts because there are soo many, I will do a medium to large stipple on them so not to take away from the design, plus I don't have time for fancy when knocking this many out so quickly.

I have been planning them for a couple years and collecting the fabrics. But the actual process of cutting and sewing these four together, I started about a month ago. I usually spend a day or two cutting out 3 or 4 quilts then I spend the next couple weeks sewing the tops together. I have 4 more cut out and laying on the table now ready to start sewing together in the next few days. The hardest 5 of this group have been saved for last and two of them are larger then the rest so I still have my work cut of for me to get these all done by Christmas.

The orange one is actually called the fireman block, I enlarged the scale (20" squares) so I wouldn't have to make as many blocks. The recipient (an uncle) used to be a volunteer fireman so I thought I would be a fun way to honor his service to our community. The backing will have corn on it because he is also a corn / soybean farmer. LOL!

Each one of these quilts have something a little personal in them. The black and green on is because the recipient mentioned to me she likes green and I know she likes to decorate her home in black in white with accents of color. The orange on is called the fireman block, it is for our uncle who used to be a volunteer fireman. The baby blue kaleidoscope quilt is for a cousin who told me he favorite color was light blue. And the black and gold one is for a cousin who graduated from Purdue. I don't much more about him so I know he will at least appreciate that little tie-in. I actually think this quilt will be one of the entire families favorite quilts because they are all Purdue fans, plus we have a couple other PU grads in the family but I wasn't making all the quilts the same.

The four I am working on next are for a hunter, and one who always dreamed of opening a bed and breakfast called the "honeycomb" so she is getting a bee quilt made to look like honeycombs. The other two are for family members I don't see as often and don't know them as well so they are getting whatever popped into my head. I think they will still be loved but they are a couple of the few that aren't as personalized.
