Quilt is beautiful! Love the glass cabinet for your quilts. I inherited a tall corner piece cabinet that would work for quilts. Thanks for sharing.

Would love to see your Mom's "matching" quilt too.

Great idea for the chronological order of the blocks.
Maybe you'd like to add the year onto each block?

When I did a quilt for our BiCentennial, I did similar, but a maple leaf for each province/territory with the name and year included.
Here is a picture of the state bird embroidered quilt blocks that I did at age 15 or so and them my Mom quilted it. Looks pretty good for being some 66 years old.

Thanks for sharing, Blackberry!
What a treasure to have the quilt made with your Mom.
Great idea to twin the two with the same layout and colours!

Both the quilt and the cabinet are treasures. The quilt is fantastic. The cabinet is perfect.

So beautiful and classic! I love the blue and your embroidery is a showstopper.

This brings back memories to me. My parents started a state bird/flowers embroidered quilt before they were married. They married in 1948. This quilt only has 48 embroidered blocks, because there were only 48 states then. They never finished it, so I finished it when I was a teenager. (I am now 66!) My parents, of course, are no longer here, but I am privileged to own this quilt.

It’s a wonderful quilt! I have a curio cabinet for my fav quilts, too. Yours is beautiful and the yummy stuff inside looks gorgeous from what I can tell.
