A) We're not allowed to watermark or copyright our own pictures and post them here. I went round and round with a former mod about this several years ago. It's why I very rarely post pictures here.
B) Watermarking doesn't stop the bad guys. I've seen pictures with very recognizable watermarks on those sites, and I've seen people ignore them and purchase the product anyway.
It's absolutely infuriating.

Question How do you watermark a quilt picture?

Please explain how to watermark a photo. Thank you!

I was sickened when I read the beginning of this thread Watson…I’m sure you felt so violated and frustrated. I’m glad you pursued it and that the website has taken your beautiful artwork down. I’m sure it was exhausting and emotional and hopefully it wont’ happen again. Good thing your friend recognized your work.

I am sorry this happened to you . Glad it was resolved. I agree that some type of watermark would be helpful in deterring thieves.

sadly our copyright laws do not mean anything over seas...NEVER post anything on the web without a watermark! and unless you want to stay yours only, do NOT put it on the web..even in these groups, FB, pinterest...it is fair game to be stolen!
