tallchick--hope your daughter is doing ok

watson--how is the tote bag coming along?

Karamarie--how are doing on the applique?

railroadersbrat--that sounds like a great solution!

Panchita--hope DS feels better

Well, my weekend hasn't gone as planned! Friday I was busy with other stuff so I didn't get in the sewing room until Saturday. Unfortunately my machine which had just been serviced is still making clunky sounds. So we tinkered with that for quite a while! Have a few more things to try this afternoon. Otherwise back to the shop this week!

This hasn't been a very productive weekend. All I've managed to get done is the 6 paper pieced blocks I was behind in doing. Here they are along with all the others. This is a 52 week long paper piecing project through Sentimental Stitches. Sometimes I wonder what I was thinking ! Hope everyone out there has had a good weekend, Happy Easter and "see" you all next month.

lolagrace-sometimes we don't get as much done as we had hoped!

I hope all of you had a wonderful weekend. After tinkering with the machine a little more, it will be going back to the shop. So I got out the backup machine and worked a little bit on the pineapple blocks. I didn't get too much done though as was making a big Easter meal for DH and myself. Hopefully next month will be more productive!

Laf2019 - That is a awesome cart where did you hubby get it? It would be perfect next to my machine. I'm getting tired of going out and around the corner to the dining room to iron, but it's steps!

lolagrace - Those are so adorable, it reminds me of the 365 blocks that are currently one of my UFO's from 2016 that I need to finish up, some year
.
Heather - I think most of us got derailed a little this weekend. Hope the machine doesn't have to go back in for more repairs. And if it does they don't charge you again!

I've gotten some sewing done, I have to go slow since right now I'm working with bias edges and they are not my favorite part of construction. I got derailed a little this morning after watching my DH singing in the choir at church. We stopped on the way home for a donuts and coffee ( I could have my chocolate Bismark gave up chocolate for lent) and when we got home there were ants on the kitchen floor. Not sure where they are coming from but gave the kitchen floor a good steam cleaning with Vinegar water! We have a large kitchen so it was about 70 minutes of steaming.

It's currently snowing here and my shoulders need a break from sewing so time to check the pork roast and get ready for dinner. Hope everyone has a Awesome Easter and safe travels.

Thanks for hosting Heather

Thanks for hosting this weekend. I got my cross project done up to the borders. Maybe I can get that done tomorrow.

Heather, daughter is good and now back home in Columbus, she prefers her specialist that is here, and comes down when she has appointments and procedures.

I managed to get 10 blocks done and I have 10 more to go so hopefully I will get them done in the next few days and work on tidying up my studio. Jinny Beyer is retiring and had a amazing sale and I admit to contributing to her retirement fund and thus I need to find room for the fabrics I purchased.
Have a great week everyone, looking forward to the next VQW!

I was doing school work for most of the day - then cooking for Easter so no sewing for me. Yesterday I got a number of pieces cut for my Snail Trail so that will make sewing faster when I do get a chance.

All I got done yesterday was cooking/dishes/and entertaining the grands. I'm up to 75-80% quilted on the frame and I've gotten fabric almost ready to piece the backing for a QOV. Not exactly a productive quilting weekend on my end.

Laf2019 - Cart is the correct dimensions except for the height would be perfect with out the wheels but I need the wheels. I will find something eventually.

Cjsews - that is gorgeous and very appropriate for a Easter sew.

Hope to see everyone next VQW..
