Hi all.. I found your forums whilst looking for examples of New York Beauty quilts. I now have so many things to look at on here I am not going to have time to sew!
There are so many talented people on here and the pictures I am looking at are amazing. I have been sewing since I was a child, my first quilt was a hexagon scrap one, although sewing and crafts have picked up over here I just don't see as much enthusiasm in the UK for quilts, none of my family or friends really appreciate them so it is nice to find like minded people.

Welcome from Ontario, Canada. I enjoy watching The Last Homely House on YouTube (from across the pond). She just finished hand stitching her hexagons together for a quilt top.

Welcome Jancre! So much in textiles coming out of the UK these days. You will lead the way to the quilt line of textiles, I'm sure. This is a great gang of folks. Ask questions and you will get a billion answers. I have learned so much from the board. They are all my quilting mamas, so come on in and get adopted!

Welcome from Texas! Hopefully, as you make quilts for your friends & family, they will begin to love & appreciate them like you do. Maybe start with small items like table runners, pillows, pot holders, etc. You will find so much help & encouragement here on this quilting board. We love pictures & want to see what you have made in the past & what you are working on now.

Welcome to you from Michigan, AKA the mitten state. I felt the same way when I stumbled upon the Quilting Board. So much to see and learn that I didn't have time to sew.. Wander about the site and add to conversations. You will soon find friends that will enjoy your love of quilts.
