Excellent work on your first quilt! you are tackling challenges that many of us still deal with. Intenionally wavy lines make for great quilting too and minimizes the stress.

Oh, I love your first quilt! I'm always drawn to log cabin quilts & the many ways the blocks can be arranged to make different designs. The actual quilting part is hard for me because I don't do free motion quilting & generally just stitch in the ditch, but I love the free motion quilting with the cute designs, etc. Maybe some day I will practice more & get better at it. I've found that washing a quilt after it's been made seems to hide a lot of boo-boos. That's one reason why I always wash a quilt before I give it away & I never point out mistakes on it to the person I give it to. Most likely, they will never notice a mistake & if they do they won't care. It's the quilt made with love that they appreciate the best.
Thanks for sharing!

I sometimes mark lines with a plastic Hera marker. they just make an indention line to follow. you just need more light on your sewing area to see them well. I love your quilt!!!

What a great quilt! My first quilt was a log cabin - many, many years ago. That quilt sucked me into the world of quilting where I've found good friends, relaxation, solace and beauty.

Thank you for sharing.
