GF and I were demonstrating Handcrank 99s. All three were having trouble with thread breakage. This was a new problem. She figured out the problem. The wind was blowing take up thread around the tensioner and then the machine would snap it. We solved the problem by turning the machines. A good time was had by all. Symphony in the Flint Hills was later in the day and we had a lot of their visitors. Folks from several states and may ages tried out toys. They made little treasure pouches.

Iris made or modified our garb. Newest machine she used was from the 70s.

I hope those outfits are special fabric. I remember how horrid it was being outdoors during Kansas summers in a lot less clothing than those.

Skirt had been a sheet. A former top was given away because it was too hot. The cause of the sewing problem was a great help in the cooling area. Plus they had home made root beer on hand. yum. And lots of water.

You and Iris look amazing. Approximately how many people do you think went through your station? I am sorry I couldn't make it but it would have been way too hot especially in an outfit like yours.

This was a slow moving event. Maybe 50 in 7 hours. We missed you, but you were not essential like you were at the museum. Hope your challenges have gone well. we like dressing up funny...[ATTACH=CONFIG]595894[/ATTACH]
