    Default Pinking Shears

I have had a pair of Fiskar pinking shears for a couple of years now and they hurt my hand when I use them. They just seem heavy and clunky to me. Is there a brand that is lighter weight and cuts like butter? I have the scalloped blade for my rotary cutter, (never used) but prefer to use a good pair of pinkers.

I have never found a lightweight pair. Fiskars are always my favorite cutting supplies.

Have you tried loosening up the screw on them? Mine were very tight and that helped a little. They are heavy, though.

I haven"t found a pair of pinking shears that isn't heavy. The older I get the more heavier they get. LOL

I bought these and they are very light weight and and sharp. I bought them at Amazon in 2019 and still cutting like new. I gave my old heavy pair away. They were dull and I had them sharpened and made them worse. These were much cheaper then the cost of the sharpening anyway. $9.99 today's price.

How do you use those? As you’re cutting out pieces? Maybe adding to the seam allowance?

Trying to envision this and failing. . .

How big are they? I have small hands and the ones I have are just too big to be easy for me to use.

I used mine when cutting some shapes to fuse onto a jacket….BUT…. You have to be especially diligent about where you place your blades, as it can eat up the edges on your ruler….and yes I am still using that poor ruler 😀
