My husband died last October (2023) and I lost my sew-jo. I've been patiently waiting for it to come back but it hasn't. I sit down at my machine and pick up small things thinking if I start out small I'll get back into quilting again. Nope, it hasn't happened. So, then I've been thinking about my fabric. I don't have a large amount. I had cut way down on buying any fabric at least 2 years or so before he died. I'm wondering if I should sell it....or would I regret it later? I've been purging household items that haven't been used for years. I'm going to be moving to another state in the Spring and I want to downsize in as many areas as I can. BUT....do I want to get rid of fabric?

Another way to help your discards find a new home (rather than ending up in a landfill or an incinerator), is to give them away on the free section on CraigsList.

While my husband was ill, fabric saved me. After he died it helped me, too. I wouldn't get rid of it. My condolences are with you.
